Background

In May 2011, a team of four individuals known as the One Time Studio asked themselves a profound question: “Is design thinking a movement that’s here to stay?”  The team began with that simple question and no funding.  They embarked on a year-long journey, successfully raised funding via Kickstarter and collaboratively answered their question with the feature-length documentary, “Design & Thinking”.  The result is an enlightening interpretation of the heretofore vague theory of design thinking.

Documentary Synopsis

How do we fully engage organizations in thinking about the changing landscape of business, culture and society?  Inspired by design thinking, this documentary interviews businessman, designers, scholars, leaders in social change and an assortment of diverse individuals in order to portray what they have in common when facing the ambiguities of the 21^st Century.  Come journey with CocaCola industries, a bike shop, and even a PhD student as they explore the profound challenges of design and the influence of design thinking on the course of their lives. Fifteen Taiwanese delegates whose careers span a range of public and private sector activities are coming to New York for the screening of Design & Thinking. (The documentary will be screened with Chinese subtitles.)
